Housing and Jobs

I don't usually write articles for this blog.  I am writing this to make a simple point, the housing market will not improve until the jobs situation significantly improves.  What we see happening is that not only are significant number of people unemployed, but that many more people are underemployed or very nervous about their future job prospects. 

The government needs to put a much stronger emphasis on job creation, even if it takes putting a number of people on the government payroll.  The long term problem is dicier, I just don't see enough good jobs on the horizon to replace the jobs lost.
